Art Asylum Boston X Alex Chavez

Art Asylum Boston is proud to announce the addition of Digital Artist Alex Chavez to our lineup of amazing talent.

A graduate of fine arts from California State University Fullerton,

Alex has painted for most of his career. Using acrylic and watercolor to

paint primarily portraits and murals. But after moving to Taos, New Mexico in 1997

he switched to the medium of "digital photo montage".


By Cutting, Pasting,

Altering, Mashing up & Recombining old paintings, Photographs & Scanned

objects in an attempt to create new icons, myths, Saints, and Gods.


Alex' work is addressing religion by attempting to adapt to new and modern issues.
This has resulted in an array of beautiful imagery both intriguing and controversial.
